  • Ikonoblast - Another pageturner.

Another can't put it down book by Sandford. Can't wait for the next one. I like the Flowers books better than the Davenport series. Lighter and more amusing.

  • Dorit Spencer - Horrible customer service - can't get replacement cartridges!

The Soda Stream Fountain Jet Soda Maker is the poster child for a product that sounds great and works great starting off (hence the five star reviews, no doubt written in the first few weeks of use), but becomes a nightmare down the line (hence the one star reviews from people who experience the morass of the company's ordering system for replacement cartriges). The gadget is admittedly a nifty *idea* - we used to go through liters of carbonated bottled water and now we can just make our own! However, there are more than a few problems. If you like soda pop, make sure you get the taster first - many of the flavors are not great. Also, when you add them to the carbonated water, they don't stay carbonated for long. Finally, and most importantly considering that this is ultimately a business based on a service and not a product, the customer service on getting exchange CO2 cartridges is *horrible* - every order that I have placed has had some problem. Two of my orders have ben "dropped" by the system, and one time they sent the wrong size cartridges. In addition, shipping and back shipping are problematic. Beware *especially* if you live in an area where they use an independent courier, rather than good ol' reliable UPS. In this case, they don't send shipping confirmations or tracking by e-mail, and several times I have waited for bottles only to find that they have not yet shipped (in one case, for weeks). I think we will put up with it until we hit the break even point with bottled water, then joyfully throw the whole thing into the landfill (how ecofriendly is that?).

  • Amazon Customer - the flaps are nicely made.

The adhesive strip at the top of flap did not contour correctly and did not stick, otherwise, the flaps are nicely made.

  • Live Green Mom - Could not put this book down!

My daughter became ill with post infectious IBS in Nov 2011. Since then i read everything i can on the digestive/gi system. This book is packed full of very valuable info. The GI docs had tried to put my daughter on the very drugs this book says would make her situation even worse! I have tried the Apple cider vinegar tip he gave with success for her reflux when eating. I cannot recommend this book enough. Seriously, if someone tou love has reflux or GERD read this. You will not regret it!!

  • Andy Robbins - Excellent coffee table book

As people reading these reviews are probably already aware, "Now I Know" started out, and still is, a popular daily email newsletter. The premise is that you sign up for the email newsletter and in return Dan sends you a daily email with true, well-researched, amazing and entertaining-as-hell anecdotes. For free. Every day. The book is a collection of these same types of stories. Though the book isn't free, it won't disappoint. I keep my copy of this book out on my coffee table and its an awesome conversation starter. (Would also be great to have on-hand for a little, ahem, distraction, in the loo). Great book; Highly recommend.

  • David B. Jennings - Costs less but . . .

I've been a Turbo Tax user for some years. It served me well, but I thought I would try the competition. After all, H&R Block is a big name, and it costs less. Early on, the program told me that my adult live-at-home son wouldn't qualify as a dependent. Huh? I checked my entries, new earnings threshold and could find no reason. I re-entered the data. Same thing. So I looked it up on the IRS website (which can be very helpful and is easy to use). IRS says he is dependent. What to do? Maybe an email to H&R Block. Oh, that will be $20. Maybe an online chat? Oh, that will be $20. Later, I updated the software (I had done this before). The problem went away. I now feel uncomfortable using it, and feel like H&R Block will try to nickle-dime me to make up for the lower purchase price? I'm not a happy camper.

  • Lalakers - Good customer service

I first bought the Zooki charger ans it stopped working a couple days after using. My iPad beeps and the charging battery symbol blinks when plugged into the zookki. It did not charge. When I plug the IPad mini into the wall socket, it charges fine. Ditto for the Samsung products. The blue lightening bolt was blinking instead of being steady. I returned it and the company immediately contacted me for a replacement. They sent me a new one right away. The new one has been working so far. Customer service is very important to me so I was happy they took the effort to correct the situation. I will update this post again after I use the product for a more extensive time period and add stars if it works for a prolonged periods to help future buyers gauge this product. I bought it on a special and the price was the lowest for these types of chargers.
