I literally couldn't put this book down. And that rarely happens. Yes, the story begins slowly as Lansing has to give us some background on the crew and some context for the expedition, which goes as planned for the first few months. But both the story and Lansing's telling of it become increasingly compelling as the events become more and more unbearable.

Great toy. Great personality. Great fun to play with. The only down side I have is you have to continually connect to his wi-fi in order to play or interact with him and then reconnect to the orginal wi-fi when you want to use other applications or Internet. He is very similar to wall-E from the Pixar movie for his personality. I highly recommend this toy for your older child or for the adult that loves technolgy.

Whether it be a Panamax tanker in the fog or an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer bearing down on you, Trimmer leaves the reader with both the confidence and the know-how to pilot your dinghy or other small craft to safety. Neither creeks nor ponds nor lakes nor the great blue beyond will be too much for you to handle after settling down in your easy chair by the fire and plowing through this book.
