Gugstew | My Brother's Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury and it's Impact on our Family - My Brother's Experience with Traumatic Brain Injury and it's Impact on our Family

  • https://gugstew.wordpress.com/about-2/ About | Gugstew - Our lives were changed forever when my younger brother lost control of his pickup truck in the early morning hours of April 22, 2012. He was ejected out of the passenger side window and struck a pole. He suffered severe lacerations and massive brain injuries. We spent 42 days at Mass General, including two weeks…

What I have seen you go through over the last four years has broken my heart, given me a deeper understanding of life,…

  • https://gugstew.wordpress.com/2014/10/11/dharma-karma/ Dharma, Karma | Gugstew - Lately I've been taking classes at a local Dharma center, and one of the topics we have repeatedly touched on is the idea of karma. I've always had a sense of it, but it wasn't exactly well-formed. Diluted through American culture, it's usually brought up as a means of passive revenge when someone does something…
  • https://gugstew.wordpress.com/2014/07/16/1009/ Two Years, Three Months | Gugstew - This blog has been more about me than my brother. I needed it to transition to a new way of life, to serve as a witness to the changes that were underway. That said, I have been reading my blog posts to Gug. I think it's important that he understands what happened to him, at least…
  • https://gugstew.wordpress.com/2013/09/05/two-words/ Two Words | Gugstew - Last night before going to bed, I noticed the only voicemail I still had that my brother left me was no longer on my phone. I only listened to it a few extra times over the past year and a half, but it's the thought that I will never hear my brother speak to me…
  • https://gugstew.wordpress.com/2013/07/18/dreamsreal-life/ Dreams/Real Life | Gugstew - Sometimes I would wake up in the morning, so confused, sitting up in bed when it was still dark, Joe asleep next to me. I was in this space between dreamscape and reality, not able to discern which side was real. In my dream, my family was so overwhelmingly burdened with sadness because my brother…

We are all travelers in the dark, and each one of us must experience what life gives to us, whether it is at random or by some divine will. There are so many people that turn away from experiences when they are painful…

  • ALProf - Just ok

I wanted an electric burr grinder, but didn't want to pay the usual high prices. This seemed like a good possibility. It's ok. If you want this for coffee brewing methods that require a coarse grind, though, I do not recommend it. The coarsest setting is still quite fine. Also, the grind is not consistent. Even with the coarse settings, you will get some very, very fine grounds mixed in. I'm using it for a drip coffee maker, so it's working alright for that purpose. When I want a really smooth cup of coffee though, I will go back to my Hario hand grinder.

  • Dan Roden - Excellent jack

I was worried with the reviews saying it came in too small, i wear large for tshits / polo shirts so i got large in this. It fits perfectly.

  • Randyman03 - Stopped Working After 2 Years!!!!

I stumbled upon this model with the helpful Amazon note "You bought this item on May 1, 2013". Why was I looking for a new one? Because apparently after 2 years of very light use (less than once a month), my unit has stopped sucking up water. Also, I was never really impressed how it worked.

  • Davita Joy - Too hot

I tried these knee pads with high hopes, but ultimately, while they didn't slip or roll like others, they were way too stiff and hot for cardio kickboxing. I am looking for a flexible knee support that allows for movement but is still sturdy enough to support an arthritic knee. Unfortunately, these disappointed.
